On November 23, 2023, the republican scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, under the joint organization of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, started its work on "Modern problems and perspectives of economic management"
At the conference, which began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our heroic sons who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov, deputy rector of ASOIU, noted that a number of international conferences and events were held at ASOIU within the framework of the year of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov said that this conference, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and assumes particular importance in terms of studying and investigating the current problems and perspective directions of economic development.
Professor Nazim Muzaffarli, director of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, emphasized the relevance of the topic and said that the conference was organized in order to discuss various aspects of the problems of ensuring sustainable, innovative and competitive economic development of the country. The economist emphasized the importance and necessity of expanding the cooperation of universities and scientific research institutes within the framework of such conferences in terms of closer integration of science and education.
Then, at the conference, the head of department of "Regulation of foreign economic activity" of the Institute of Economics, doctor of economic sciences, professor Fuad Ganbarov, made a speech on "Non-oil exportation in Azerbaijan: opportunities and development directions", Doctor of Economic Sciences, Rasmiyya Abdullayeva, head of department of "Inclusive social development" made a speech on "Formation of non-state pension provision in Azerbaijan", Doctor of Economic Sciences, Yashar Mammadov, head of department of "Monetary and Fiscal Regulation Problems", made a speech on "Assessment of the level of development of the healthcare system in Azerbaijan", doctoral student of the Institute of Economics, Aygun Tahmezli made a speech on "Ensuring social development in Azerbaijan within the framework of sustainable development goals”.
At the end, answered the questions of the conference participants, and heard suggestions and comments.
In total, 113 articles were presented to the conference, and 101 of them were plagiarized. Then the conference continued with divisional meetings and will end on November 24, 2023.
