The scientific editor of the publication is D.Sc. Rasmiyya Abdullayeva, and the book published by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics.
This book reflects the results of the research conducted at the Institute of Economics with the aim of comparing the quality of life in the economic regions, subordinate cities and administrative regions of Azerbaijan. Assessments were made on the basis of the Quality of Life Index (QLI) developed by the Institute's specialists. The study covers 11 economic regions of the country, 61 republican subordinate cities and administrative regions included in those regions.
This study is a continuation of the same study carried out in 2019. The changes in the rating during two years are widely explained in the book. In general, this type of interregional and periodical comparisons assumes serious practical importance, and their results are useful during making practical management decisions on the socio-economic development of the country's regions, including in supporting the development of the economy in individual regions at superior rates, in drawing up socio-economic programs, and in different regions may be useful during allocating additional state funds for its development (economics.com.az).
