On March 2, 2022, held the next online meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics of ANAS with the "Zoom" program. A number of issues were discussed at the online event chaired by the Director General of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov)
The Director General informed that the head of Department of the “Education” of the Institute, assoc.prof., Gulsura Mehdiyeva resigned on her own application. Taking this into consideration, she was removed from the Scientific Council.
Also discussed the issue of submitting to the state award of the Corresponding member of ANAS, Doctor of Economics, prof. Shahbaz Muradov's monograph "Demographic development of the Republic of Azerbaijan: historical changes, new trends, problems" Professor Tofig Huseynov gave information about the book.
Associate Professor Yashar Mammadov, prof. Mushfig Atakishiyev also praised Muradov's book, which has been conducting research in the field of demography for many years, and stressed its historical and scientific significance. After the discussions, it was decided to nominate the book for the state award.
By the decision of the Scientific Council, the head of the department "Problems of regulation of entrepreneurship and monopoly" of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, prof. Tarbiz Aliyev's monograph "Restoration of the economy of Karabakh and East Zangazur" was recommended for publication (economics.com.az).
