Mazaddin Ayyubov, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, a leading researcher of the Department of “Regional Development and Utilization Problems of Natural Resources” of the Institute of Economics, made a report on "The effectiveness of the use of economic potential of the regions of Azerbaijan."
The researcher believes that by assessing the effectiveness of the use of economic potential of the regions, it is possible to form strategic directions of economic development of each region (economic region) in the future at the expense of intra-regional financial sources and reduce the burden on the state budget.
The methodology and scientific approach proposed by M. Ayyubov also, the development programs of the regions and their results, the economic potential of the regions and the efficiency of its use, useful land resources, the availability of fixed assets, raw materials, labor resources, economic potential of the liberated regions, the negative impact of the pandemic on regional development and so on were discussed at the seminar.
