Held a meeting of the Working Group on Foreign Trade and Trade Tariffs

  On September 28, 2021, the next meeting of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings held in a video conference format with the participation of representatives of the members of the Working Group on "Foreign Trade and Trade Tariffs".
  Participating in the meeting of the commission, the head of the department of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Fuad Ganbarov said that the Institute of Economics conducted an academic study on the calculation of the average weighted tariff rate on the basis of the World Trade Organization. According to the study, although customs duties in Azerbaijan are not high, Azerbaijan's position on tariff rates is not so good, as the number of goods subject to low tariffs is lower than in other countries.
  At the end of the meeting, it was decided to finalize the implementation of the provisions of the approved Action Plan for 2021 and submit reports, as well as to prepare proposals by the relevant agencies to determine the activities of the Working Group for 2022 and include it in the action plan (economics.com.az).
