By the decision of the Presidium of ANAS established Post-conflict Territorial Rehabilitation Scientific Center at the Institute of Economics

  On December 11, 2020, at the meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences chaired by the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, discussed the issue of establishing the Scientific Center for Post-Conflict Territories Restoration at the Institute of Economics of ANAS
  Speaking on the issue, academician Isa Habibbayli said that Azerbaijani lands, which had been under enemy’s occupation for about 30 years, were subjected to serious anthropogenic threats, social infrastructure was destroyed and the natural landscape was severely deformed. According to him, under the direct leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev, have been started comprehensive measures for reviving life in the liberated territories, building socio-economic infrastructure and for restoring the ecological balance.
  Academician Isa Habibbayli said that given the serious scientific research experience at the Institute of Economics and the internationally accepted principles in this field, it was proposed to establish a Scientific Center for Post-Conflict Rehabilitation in the structure of the institution. He recalled that an event dedicated to the restoration of post-conflict areas and held at the Presidium of ANAS in November of this year.
  As a result of discussions at the event, which was also attended by the director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli, was considered expedient to establish a Scientific Center for Post-Conflict Restoration in the structure of the Institute of Economics (economics.com.az).
