On May 17, 2019, held the next scientific discussions at the Institute of Economics, ANAS, in the Discussion Club "Creative Economy"
Opening the event, the director of the Institute, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli presented the new head of the club – Ph.D. in Economics, Ali Huseynov. A.Huseynov gave information about the main innovations in the organization of scientific discussions in the Discussion Club "Creative Economy".
Then, the speaker – Ph.D. in Economics Nasimi Ahmadov made a presentation on "Oil and Gas Resources of Azerbaijan: Efficiency and Sustainable Development"
Researcher N.Ahmedov considers that the long-term exploitation of the former oil fields should be improved, 
the resources should be recalculated, should be increased the efficiency of the use of fixed assets of labor, material resources, wages and depreciation costs should be optimized, and should be avoided the raw material losses. There is a need for a clear and appropriate distribution of oil and gas raw materials to be used, in the production of petroleum products and petrochemicals. The implementation of a substantial energy change requires extensive use of renewable energy sources. Here is proposed that the regional environmental ratios must be used as a regional indicator of sustainable development. This indicator can also be useful in the economic evaluation of natural resources, the determination of ecological and economic efficiency, and the improvement of tax relations.
Then, broad discussions were held around the topic, and were answered the questions. Evaluated the report of speaker, noted the main positive and shortcomings.
