At the Discussion Club "Creative Economy" discussed proposals related to the preparation of such program
On May 25, 2016, held a meeting at the Discussion Club "Creative Economy" of the Institute of Economics ANAS. Director of the Institute, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli gave information about the main theme and the speaker and the leading scientific worker of the department of "Regional development and utilization of natural resources", Ph.D. in Economics, Mazaddin Eyyubov made a speech on the theme of preparation of "Azerbaijan 2030: sustainable socio-economic development program"
M.Eyyubov noted that by the United Nations recommended to the countries of the world the preparation of sustainable development programs by 2030. The main aim is providing comprehensive and sustainable economic development in each countries. Here include different purposes - the complete abolition of poverty, food security, social welfare, improvement and achievement of sustainable development in all sectors of the economy, etc. problems.
The program intended the main 5 targets: ensuring country's population with the productive employment; the rational model of production and consumption of the country; achieving sustainable development of agriculture, food security, and elimination of hunger; providing modern, reliable energy sources that are not expensive to everybody; implementing innovations in the production and services, also creation of reliable infrastructure.
Considering all these problems, M.Eyyubov offered the preparation of such program in Azerbaijan. The program should cover the main strategy and forecasts on the country's economic development till the period 2030. At the meeting have been widely discussed the preparation of proposals in connection with "Azerbaijan 2030: sustainable socio-economic development program", the UN's recommendations calculations, forecasts, current realities and expectations and etc. problems (economics.com.az).
