The state councillor talked about “Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” (“Book of Dede Korkut”) to economists

Academician Kamal Abdulla made a speech on the theme of “”Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” and “Friedrich von Dietz – 200” at the Institute of Economy of ANAS
On the base of decree by the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev on the 200-year anniversary of the translation and printing of the book “Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” in German, according to the developed activity program agreed to hold the event due to the deep investigation and dissemination of the legend (epic, legend ...) “Kitabi-Dede Gorgud”.
Another following event was held jointly with the Baku International Multiculturalism Centre and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Chairman Adviser on international, multiculturalism and religious issues of the Baku International Multiculturalism Centre of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Kamal Abdulla made a speech on the theme of “”Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” and “Friedrich von Dietz – 200” at the Institute of Economy of ANAS. The writers and philosophers was also attended an event.
The Director of the Institute of Economy of ANAS, professor Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov) opened an event, and also noted the importance of holding such events. Then the scientific councillor of the Institute of Economy of ANAS, Ph.D. in economics, associate professor Rasmiyya Abdullayeva, spoke about the lecturer and the theme.
In his speech academician Kamal Abdulla, talked about the legend ”Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” and noted that this book demonstrates the essence of Azerbaijani people, their culture, rich history, and their life principles too. He also spoke about the importance of investigation of the book ”Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” not only by writers, also by the specialists of other sciences too. Especially, he noted that it should be studied by the economists, because in the legend the issues about the history of economic development, and statehood history of Azerbaijani people must be deeply investigated.
Considering the decree by the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev has started the new stage for the development of Gorgud criticism and it is very important that all the institutes of ANAS must give special attention to this investigation.
This need was even confirmed by the National leader Heydar Aliyev, at the event in honour of the 1300th anniversary of the legend ”Kitabi-Dede Gorgud”, and proved by the following words: ”Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” is a mirror of the history of the Azerbaijani people, ethnic memory, archaic thinking, and as a melody of our hearts, language and sprit assumes cultural-aesthetic importance”.
The vice-president of ANAS Isa Habibbayli, directors and employees of the different institutes of ANAS attended an event and noted the importance of investigation of the legends of ”Kitabi-Dede Gorgud”.
