On November 9, 2015, held on general meeting dedicated to the 70th jubilee of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). Ilham Aliyev the president of Azerbaijan Republic attended the meeting. In the same event the president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh, Nobel laureate, professor George Fitzgerald Smoot, and academician Viktor Matveyev director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research made a speech.
