On July 21, 2026, held the next meeting of the working group established by the order of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to redefine the composition of the minimum consumer basket
The meeting was also attended by Professor Rasmiyya Abdullayeva, head of department “Inclusive Social Development” of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, the Head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli spoke about the importance of redefining the composition of the minimum consumption basket.
Then, Elgun Hajikhalilov, Head of the Social Policy Sector of the Department of Economic Policy of the Administration of Ministry of Economy, delivered the final presentation on the composition of the minimum consumer basket in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
After the presentation, the members of the Working Group held final discussions on determining the composition of the minimum consumer basket and noted their suggestions and opinions.
