At the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, the application period for admission to the PhD program has been completed in accordance with the Admission Plan for Doctoral Training for 2026, approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 14, 2026, concerning admissions to higher education institutions, scientific institutions, and organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In an interview by economics.org.az with PhD in Economics, Ellada Khankishiyeva, Head of Education Department of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education noted that 70 applicants whose documents have been accepted will compete for 25 available places across 7 specialties.
She noted that the Foreign Language examination will be held on June 25, 2026. Applicants who successfully pass this examination will take the Philosophy examination on September 1–3, 2026. Those who receive a passing grade (“satisfactory”) in Philosophy will be eligible to participate in the specialty examinations, which will be conducted on September 8–10, 2026 (economics.org.az).
