Employees of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education met with teachers and students at the Talabigyshlag village’s secondary school named after Firuz Heybatov in Guba region
The meeting was attended by the leading researcher of the Institute's department "Regulation of Foreign Economic Activity", associate professor Alasgar Sariyev, and the leading researcher of the department "Inclusive Social Development", Doctor of Philosophy in Economics Firdovsi Shahbazov. The main purpose of the event was to commemorate the rich scientific heritage and memory of Khosrov Karimov, a well-known researcher of the history of economic thought, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, associate professor, who had been productively active at the Institute of Economics for many years.
During the event, scientists presented a commemorative book dedicated to the life and work of Khosrov Karimov to the school's teaching and student staff. The speakers spoke about the outstanding economist's scientific activities, his services in the field of researching the history of economic thought, as well as his contributions to the education of the younger generation and the formation of scientific thought.
The participants' thoughts on Khosrov Karimov's life and work were met with great interest, and teachers and students exchanged memories about the scientist and ideas about the presented book.
As part of the visit, employees of the Institute of Economics also visited the grave of Khosrov Karimov in the village of Talabigyshlag, respectfully commemorated his dear memory, and prayed for his soul.
The event was evaluated as one of the educational initiatives aimed at introducing the scientific heritage of prominent scientists to the younger generation, promoting national scientific and moral values, and increasing interest in science (economics.org.az).
