An educational event dedicated to June 18 – Human Rights Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan – was held at the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education.
The main goal of the event was to promote human rights and freedoms, raise awareness among citizens, draw attention to current challenges in the field of human rights protection, and raise public awareness of achievements in this area and future challenges.
Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Parviz Hasanov, Chairman of the Trade Union Organization of the Institute of Economics, spoke in detail about the history and significance of Human Rights Day. He outlined the national legal framework established for human rights protection in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the adopted legislation, and the international conventions to which our country has acceded.
Following the event, answered the questions of interest by the participants, and an exchange of views took place on the current situation and prospects for human rights protection. Participants emphasized that such educational meetings play an important role in raising human rights knowledge and developing legal awareness (economics.org.az).
