On May 1, 2026, held the defense of dissertation on "Development prospects of service sectors in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan" in the specialty 5312.01 - "Sectoral economics" submitted by Javid Mukhtar Abdullayev, a doctoral student of the Institute for receiving the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics at the meeting of the Dissertation Council of the Institute of Economics.
At the meeting chaired by Professor Nazim Muzaffarli, the applicant J.Abdullayev made a comprehensive presentation on the main content of the dissertation. Listened to the opinions of the official opponents. The applicant answered the questions addressed to him. The members of the Council made speeches and expressed their opinions on the dissertation, and held discussions. Finally, the dissertation was approved by the Dissertation Council through a secret ballot (economics.org.az).
