Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, Gulnara Fataliyeva, a leading researcher at the department "Innovative Economy and Digital Transformation" of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, participated in a course on "Competitiveness, Economic Growth and Crisis" organized by the Austrian government at the Joint Institute in Vienna on February 23-27, 2026.
During the one-week course were given lectures to participants on assessing progress in achieving the goals of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on economic growth, employment and productivity, increasing productivity through resource reallocation, maintaining competitiveness in the era of changing globalization, analyzing innovation and digitalization indicators of countries, policy examples and experiences of different countries around the world to stimulate competition.
At the course also organized interactive discussions and seminars. Participants also listened to presentations of economic development and various indicators of their countries.
Gulnara Fataliyeva actively participated in the discussions and was awarded with a certificate for successful graduation of the course (economics.org.az).
