On February 2, 2026, on the occasion of Youth Day held an event at the Institute of Economics.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, Associate Professor Famil Rustamov, Executive Director of the Institute of Economics, spoke about the history of the establishment of Youth Day, the role of youth as a leading force in the public life of our country, the state's care for young people, the state's youth policy as a whole, as well as the conditions created for young researchers at the Institute of Economics. He noted that the first Azerbaijan Youth Forum was held on February 2, 1996, with the initiative and participation of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. So, formed the tradition of holding Azerbaijan Youth Forums. Currently, this policy is being successfully continued and developed by the President Ilham Aliyev. The purposeful policy implemented by the head of state and has become a clear "road map" for young people, also created broad opportunities for young people in Azerbaijan in all areas.
The Scientific Secretary of the Institute, Doctor of Economic Sciences Leyli Allahverdiyeva, the Chairman of the Trade Union Organization, Assoc. Prof. Parviz Hasanov, the Head of the Education Department, Doctor of Economic Sciences Ellada Khankishiyeva, the Head of the Public Relations Department, Assoc. Prof. Mahir Zeynalov, the Chairman of the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, the Institute of Economics, Shovgi Khalilov, congratulated the young people on the occasion of Youth Day and wished them success in their scientific activities.
Then, on February 2, on the occasion of Youth Day, a group of active young researchers - Aygun Tahmazli, Nusret Ibrahimov, Ayten Abdurrahmanova - for their productive scientific activity and successful completion of their dissertation researches, also Murad Farajov and Aytaj Karimova for their activity were presented with honorary diplomas of the MSE Institute of Economics.
At the event, Dilman Asadov, a scientific researcher at the department "Economics of the Service Sector" of the Institute and a member of the Council, made a presentation on his research on "Regulation of sports services in the context of human capital development". The young researcher, noted the role and importance of sports in the development of human capital and the improvement of health and wellness indicators, spoke about the state of sports infrastructure in the country, the number of people involved in sports, the development of sports in the regions, sports expenditures in the state budget, and gave attention to the results of analysis and evaluations. He also conducted country comparisons based on international experience and noted his suggestions and recommendations.
