On November 18, 2025, held the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education. Discussed a number of issues at the meeting, chaired by Director General, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli.
At the meeting discussed the topics of dissertation of doctoral students admitted to the doctoral program of the Institute of Economics in 2025. Each dissertation topic discussed extensively and approved separately.
At the Scientific Council, the head of department "Monetary and Problems of Fiscal Regulation " of the Institute, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Yashar Mammadov made a speech on the topic of his new monograph - "The Mirror of Modern Economy: World and Azerbaijani Realities of Stock Markets." He noted that the monograph provides a multifaceted analysis of the development trends of global and national stock markets in the context of modern economic transformation. The author evaluates the historical formation process of world stock markets, the mechanisms of their interaction with economic growth, investment flows and financial stability on a scientific basis. In the study deeply investigated the development stages, structural arrangement, institutional features and current problems of Azerbaijani stock market in the macroeconomic environment. In addition, the impact of the market on the economic system was evaluated in comparison with global and regional indicators. Based on the research conducted, scientifically and practically justified proposals were put forward to improve the efficiency of the stock market, diversify capital flows, strengthen institutional reforms, and implement regulatory mechanisms in line with international practice.
