The Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education is hosting a research internship for undergraduate students of Baku Business University (BBU). From November 12 to December 9, 2025, 10 of second-year undergraduate students of BBU are participating in the training organized by scientists of the Institute of Economics.
In order to organize the internship-training course at a high level, Associate Professor, Ph.D., Tariyel Gurbanov, was appointed as the head of the scientific research internship for master's students. A meeting was held at the Institute of Economics with the masters of BBU participating in the training. The event was also attended by the head of the BBU Master's and Doctoral Center, Ismayil Sharifli, and the head of the Department of Career and Alumni Affairs, Gafar Baghirov.
A cooperation agreement has been signed between the Institute of Economics and Baku Business University (BBU) for conducting the courses. According to the agreement, BBU pays funds to the Institute of Economics for paid training courses. This is an interesting and noteworthy experience in Azerbaijan as a paid training program for students and postgraduates between a private university and a scientific institute. Scientific research training and practical exercises will be organized for them. The trainings are conducted by leading scientists of the Institute of Economics.
Master's students also have the opportunity to become closely acquainted with the fundamental scientific research work carried out at the Institute of Economics. At the end of the scientific research experience, master's students are expected to be awarded with certificates from the Institute of Economics (economics.org.az).
