On February 17, 2025, held a traditional scientific seminar at the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education
At the seminar, leading researcher of the department "Industrial Policy and Investment Problems" of the Institute of Economics, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics Shahin Sadigov delivered a report on "Potential of competitive development of production of construction materials and evaluation its current state."
The researcher examined the potential for competitive development of construction materials and the economic factors affecting it, assessed the current state of the sector, conducted analyses on import, export, and the self-sufficiency level of republic. Also, indicators determining the activity of construction materials production enterprises and examined their development potential, import substitution opportunities, and investigated the possibility of creating sectoral and territorial clusters. Suggestions are made for the effective use of the competitive development of production potential of building materials. The research is aimed at obtaining practically oriented results in this area.
