At the meeting, the Institute's scientific secretary, Doctor of Economic Sciences Leyli Allahverdiyeva, made a presentation on the main content of her monograph on "Formation of information society in Azerbaijan (liberality and competitiveness of information services)". She spoke about the main features of research, theoretical approaches, analyses and assessments, international comparisons, main results obtained and proposals put forward in the work. In the issues of forming an information society in Azerbaijan, noted the steps taken towards the liberalization of information services, reforms implemented, including digitalization and accessibility to information, and key trends in the modern information market.
Held extensive discussions around the topic, answered questions. The monograph of "Formation of information society in Azerbaijan (liberality and competitiveness of information services)" was recommended for publication. Then, the Scientific Secretary presented statistical data on the scientific works published by the departments of the Institute of Economics in 2024. The situation in this area was discussed by the departments, then made suggestions and recommendations were.
At the meeting also discussed the issue of changing the scientific supervisors of two Ph.D. students, and with the participation of the applicants, taking into account their applications made relevant decisions (economics.org.az).
