Order by Emin Amrullayev the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Famil Veli Rustamov has been appointed Executive Director of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education. Famil Rustamov, who was appointed to this position on January 19, 2026, is a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, Associate Professor. He graduated the Institute of Economics and has worked in various scientific positions at this research institution for many years. Until his last appointment, he worked as a head of department "Economic Problems of the Agricultural Sector" of the Institute of Economics.
At the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economics held on January 21, 2026, the Director General, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli introduced Associate Professor Famil Rüstəmov as the new Executive Director. Members of the Academic Council welcomed the appointment and wished the Executive Director success in his new role. F. Rüstəmov expressed his gratitude for the high level of trust placed in him.
