Announced the results of the III republican scientific article competition on "Strategic aspects of the revival of Karabakh in strengthening the state sovereignty of Azerbaijan" organized by the UNEC Karabakh Economic Research Center
Speaking at the opening of the event, organized by the Department of Coordination and Organization of the Work of UNEC Research Centers and supported by "SOCAR POLYMER" LLC, UNEC Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Professor Rovnag Rzayev said that the competition was held within the framework of the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty". He noted that the topic dedicated to the revival of Karabakh assumes special importance and said that about 200 scientific articles were submitted to the competition from more than 30 different higher education and scientific research institutions of the country. The Vice-Rector noted that the collection of articles will be prepared in e-book format and placed on UNEC's electronic resources.
Head of the UNEC Karabakh Economic Research Center, Professor Shafa Alizadeh, stated that the interest in the competition has doubled compared to previous years and highly appreciated the activity of young people in this field. She noted that the competition serves to promote the revival of Karabakh, the study of effective mechanisms of economic construction in the liberated territories, and the scientific study of the role of this process in strengthening our state sovereignty.
Speaking at the event, Mushfig Hajiyev the Financial Director of SOCAR Polymer LLC congratulated the winners and expressed his confidence that the selected scientific research will make significant contributions to the process of revitalizing Karabakh.
Then held the award ceremony. One nomination was for faculty members, and the other was for doctoral candidates, master’s students, and undergraduates. Cash prizes were awarded to the winners who placed in the top three in each category. The remaining participants were presented with certificates.
Certificates were presented at the event to the top 10 participants with the highest scores, based on the evaluation of 200 articles. Among them were two academics and one doctoral student from the Institute of Economics. Thus, the leading researcher of the department "Regulation of the Business Environment and Development of Entrepreneurship" of the Institute of Economics, associate professor Mahir Zeynalov, and the scientific researcher of the department "Demography and Employment Problems", Ph.D Nusret Ibrahimov were awarded certificates for their articles that were among the top 10 in the nomination among the faculty. Hikmet Mirzayev, a doctoral student of the Institute of Economics, was among the top 10 in the nomination for doctoral students, masters and students and was also presented with a certificate (economics.org.az).
