Leading research fellow of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, Associate Professor Nasimi Ahmadov participated in the international course on "Macroeconomics of Climate Change" held at the Vienna Joint Institute in Austria on December 1-12, 2025, organized by the International Monetary Fund's Institute for Capacity Development.
The two-week course provided an overview of the issues related to the scientific assessment of climate change impacts and economic costs, discussed policy options for adaptation and mitigation, and analyzed the challenges and prospects of transitioning to ecological-economic development models.
The course was held in an atmosphere of interesting and useful discussions. Associate Professor Nasimi Ahmadov actively participated in these discussions and was awarded an international certificate for successfully completing the course.
